serial #109565, 22 LR, 28" barrel, bore rates about good showing pitting in the grooves its full length. However the outside of this musket is absolutely lovely. The metal surfaces retain about 98% original blue, the loss being a couple areas of minor pitting around the barrel address and some receiver flaking. The breechblock and lever retain good casecolors, the high contact edges of the lever have faded to pewter and also show some minor oxidation staining and light pitting. The buttstock rates excellent to very near as-new, the full-length forend as well is excellent with only a couple very very minor dings at its right rear. There is an area of minor pitting at the front right edge of the frame. Even the buttplate shows nice casecolors. Really a very nice takedown high wall musket that appears as though it suffers from a little poor storage, externally gun has a very lovely appearance. Manufactured 1918.
