serial #65565, .30 Army caliber, 22" round barrel with a bright excellent bore. The barrel retains about 90% strong original blue finish. The action retains 95% bright original blue. The top edge of action is slightly rounded however balance of polish and color of blue leads us to call it original, in addition there are two holes drilled and tapped in the left side of frame that sort of make it a moot point. The walnut stocks rate excellent as nicely refinished and with nicely executed checkering which remains sharp and crisp. Sling swivel base is present on bottom of forend and bottom of buttstock, these are also likely later editions.
