serial #47297, 405 WCF, 24" round barrel with a good plus bore that shows light pitting. Metal surfaces of rifle retain 97% restored blue finish. There are some scattered patches of light pitting showing beneath finish and edges are slightly softened. The checkered pistol grip buttstock and forend are of highly figured walnut and rate very good plus as refinished. Rifle is equipped with standard sporting front and semi-buckhorn rear barrel sights. Factory records confirm this as a 405 rifle with fancy checkered stocks which shipped on October 17, 1904. (2076-4) {C&R} (2000/3000) SOLD FOR $3737.50
