45-70, 24 1/2" barrel with an excellent bore. The barrel and receiver have about 80% original blue finish remaining. The upper surface of the bolt is marked with the Remington address, the left side of the barrel is stamped "GEO. FOSS" near the receiver, likely a retailer. The bolt is finished bright and shows a mild patina with scattered oxidation staining visible. The hammer still has about 25% original case colors remaining. The walnut stock is in fine shape overall, a few light bruises and a light layer of applied finish are present. A four piece cleaning rod is stowed in the butt.
