serial #76442, 10 ga., 32" plain barrel choked full with a bright excellent bore. Metal surfaces retain about 92% original blue, the balance fading and toning to a deep gray and gray brown patina. The smooth round knob buttstock and both forend panels rate very good plus to near excellent showing only minor dings and dents from use. The buttstock actually shows very nice grain figure along the comb line. The right side of the receiver is neatly stamped "L P Swett". Overall rather a nice example of the 1901 lever action shotgun.
