serial #28120, 12ga., 28" barrels choked I.C. and mod. with bright excellent bores. Barrels retain about 98 - 99% original blue finish. Rib is hand matted, doll's head extension is lightly engraved, as is the rib area slightly ahead of it, there is a thin gold inlay in this area as well. The frame and false sidelocks show a nice tight scroll and loose foliate pattern, with the fences featuring lightly chiseled foliate engraving and scroll engraved sideclips. The bottom of the trigger guard as well shows lovely tight scroll. Frame and sideplates show about 98%-99% original case colors. Gun is equipped with a single non-selective Jurjevic trigger. The gun has been masterfully restocked by Monty Kennedy himself, in a lovely grade of French walnut. The butt wears a solid old English style pad, the pistol grip a blued steel cap. Forend is beavertail style. Both forend and butt feature flawless borderless checkering patterns, forend pattern is wraparound. Stocks rate excellent and are virtually as-new. As one would expect, all lines are crisp and the workmanship is indeed perfect. A lovely usable Francotte stocked by a master stockmaker. (2045-5) (2000/3000) SOLD FOR $2012.50 |
