Winchester Model 1895 Lever Action Rifle

serial #47360, 405 WCF, 24" round barrel with a very good bore that shows just a little light corrosion. This rifle remains in very nice condition with its barrel retaining 95% original blue finish with a couple small patches of light surface corrosion present. The action, magazine and lever retain 90% strong original blue finish with some very light surface oxidation present in some areas and with areas of loss bearing a pleasing smooth patina. The plain walnut stocks rate excellent with about 85% original finish remaining and a couple light bruises on forend. Rifle is equipped with an original Winchester checkered hard rubber shotgun buttplate which appears to be a replacement however the inletting is perfect and would accept an original buttplate with widows peak. Rifle is equipped with a beaded blade front sight, rear slot filled with blank and correct Lyman 21 receiver sight. Factory records confirm the configuration of this rifle show receipt in warehouse on December 10, 1904 and not being shipped until September 8, 1905, other remarks read "9-8-1905 shotgun butt rubber fitted".
