serial #1494a, 9mm, 4" barrel with an excellent bore. This pistol has all matching numbers and retains 85-90% original blue with blood spotting along the removeable sideplate, takedown lever, and trigger. Some light fading and pinprick pitting can also be seen along the front strap as well. Original straw coloring can still be seen on the takedown lever, trigger, safety, magazine release, and ejector. The checkered wooden grips are both numbered to the gun on the interior and exhibit light flattening to the points, mostly around the butt. The pistol is housed in a 1916 dated military flap holster which exhibits light surface wear, mostly along the cover flap, and is Reichswehr marked on the interior "Kdtr.K.13." (Kommandantur der Festung Konigsberg, Pistole 13/Konigsberg Fortress Headquarters, Pistol #13). A takedown tool and single "fxo" marked magazine, which has a broken black Bakelite base plate, are included. Less than 1,000 of these "S" coded pistols were manufactured making these one of the rarer military Lugers. This example is in very good plus condition and comes with a great, unit marked holster. (1984-2) {C&R} (3000/5000) SOLD FOR $4600.00
