50 RF, 20" barrel with an excellent bore. This Peabody conforms to French contract specifications and retains 97% of the original blue on the barrel which exhibits slight thinning towards the muzzle and has nearly all of the original, vivid case colors on the frame, lever, hammer, and buttplate. The forend and stock are likewise in fine condition with only a few minor handling marks in the original military oil finish and a crisp "W.C." factory inspector's cartouche on the left side of the wrist.
