Winchester Model 1885 Custom High Wall Target Rifle

serial #93582, .30-40 Krag, 30" round No. 3 weight barrel with a bright excellent bore. This rifle features an interesting high comb custom checkered fancy maple buttstock and beavertail forend. The action features interesting floral engraving which is of fair quality. The barrel is equipped with added scope blocks, windgauge front sight, rear slot is filled with blank and midrange vernier tang peep sight. The barrel retains about 60% evenly thinning restored blue finish. The action was lightly cleaned prior to engraving and is now a silver gray color. The maple stocks rate excellent with brass Swiss buttplate. The forend is equipped with a palm rest base. The rifle is equipped with what appear to be factory double set triggers and factory finger loop lever. (1915-49) [Ray Day Collection] (2500/3500) SOLD FOR $2012.50
