Special Order Winchester Model 1886 Lever Action Rifle in 50 Express

serial #155727, 50 Express, 26" octagon barrel with full magazine and a bright excellent bore. This is a wonderful big bore '86. The barrel and magazine retain about 90% evenly thinning original blue finish. The action retains 90% plus strong original blue finish with most lost being on forward belly of action where metal has turned to a pleasing smooth brown patina. Case color on hammer and lever remains quite visible and is blending with a smooth brown patina. The plain pistol grip buttstock and forend feature a checkered steel shotgun buttplate and rate excellent with over 90% original finish remaining. Rifle is equipped with a Beach combination front sight and an interesting globe rear sight marked "CHAS. DANIELS". This rifle is completely honest and righteous; the factory ledgers are blank for this number. A wonderful big bore 1886 rifle. (1998-4) {C&R} (12,000/18,000)
