serial #10259, 32 WS, 24" round barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is a fabulous model 55. The barrel and half magazine retain 97% strong original blue finish. The action retains 95% plus original blue. The fancy checkered walnut pistol grip buttstock and forend rate excellent plus with 98% original finish remaining and with strong, crisp checkering. Lower left tang bears assembly number "473" which also appears in the end grain of the buttstock at action and on inside of grooved steel shotgun buttplate.
