Fine Winchester Model 1886 Lever Action Rifle in 38-56

serial #26455, 38-56 WCF, 26" round barrel with full magazine and a bright, minty bore. This rifle is in exceptional condition. The barrel and magazine retain 97% original blue finish with most loss being due to some light scratches ahead of forend cap. The action retains 98% brilliant original case colored finish and still shows some original lacquer. The color on hammer, lever, forend cap and buttplate are also vivid. The walnut stocks rate near mint with virtually all of their original finish and almost no handling marks. Fire blue on loading gate is 97%, blue on bolt is 99%. Rifle is equipped with a beaded blade front and standard buckhorn rear sporting sights. A splendid 1886 rifle which would be difficult to upgrade. (1998-1) {ANTIQUE} (7000/9000) SOLD FOR $13800.00
