serial #18021, 30 WCF, 24" round barrel with half magazine and a bright excellent bore. This rifle features many special order features including half magazine, takedown, checkered pistol grip stocks, hard rubber shotgun buttplate and being made extra light. The barrel and magazine retain about 90% evenly thinning original blue finish. The action retains 80% evenly thinning original blue finish. Case color on hammer is strong; slightly more subdued on lever. The checkered pistol grip walnut buttstock and forend rate very good plus with lots of original finish remaining and some scattered light handling marks. Rifle is equipped with a ramp mounted beaded blade front sight, Marbles folding rear sight and Lyman folding tang peep sight. Rifle comes with factory letter confirming the configuration and showing shipment on August 31, 1897. The rifle was returned and repaired on March 8, 1898.
