serial #267322, 30 WCF, 26" part round part octagon barrel with button magazine and an excellent bore. The barrel retains 90 - 95% evenly thinning original blue finish. The action retains about 70% original blue with some evidence of added cold blue only to areas of loss. The checkered pistol grip walnut buttstock and forend are of very highly figured walnut and rate excellent with about 90% of their original "extra" finish remaining. The checkering shows light wear but remains strong. Case color on hammer remains quite strong and is somewhat more subdued on lever. Rifle is equipped with a brass beaded blade front sight, three leaf express rear and Lyman folding tang peep sight. Factory records show the rifle being received on July 12, 1905 as a rifle, 30 caliber, half octagon barrel, plain trigger, checkered pistol grip stock, half magazine, and shipping on August 7, 1905. There were two other work orders, we assume for return and repairs on September 1, 1905 and December 20, 1905. Overall a nice deluxe 94 rifle.
