serial #14, 22 lr, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1933 manufactured, issue rifle which has undergone arsenal refurbishment and retains 98% plus of an armory added parkerized finish on the metal which exhibits some slight silvering along the projecting edges as well as a few spots of underlying faint pitting towards the breech end of the 8-42 dated barrel. The head space adjustable bolt is the first type which has no lead plug over the adjustment screw. The finger groove equipped stock has almost no marks or blemishes and is stamped "M2" on the pistol grip and "D-28225" on the belly of the stock. A single M2 magazine and an Uncle Mike's leather sling are included. This is an excellent, very early M2 which was redone by the government.
