serial #212540E, 12 ga., 30" barrels choked modified and improved modified with about very good bores showing minor pitting nearly their full length. The barrels show about 60% fading original blue the balance being a dull gray patina. The frame and side plates are lightly scroll engraved, maker marked and each features a quail. There are remnants of case colors mixing with mottled gray case hardening as well as some dull pewter and faint light brown patina. The checkered, capped pistol grip buttstock wears what could be an original Hawkins recoil pad. The buttstock rates very good plus, the forend rates good showing numerous dings and dents and a couple old repairs. The gun appears to have been factory equipped with sling swivels as there is a swivel base soldered to the barrel's under rib, it appears to be original equipment; the sling swivel on the stock has been removed. There is a minor chip to the rear of the top tang. Length of the pull to the Hawkins pad is 14 ", with drops of 1 3/4" and 2 1/2". (1655-593) {C&R} (700/900) SOLD FOR $977.50
